Malta Tourism?s gift of wellbeing for Mental Health Awareness Week

Malta Tourism Authority is launching a virtual retreat for Mental Health Awareness Week, which will feature the sights and sounds of Malta

The online wellness retreat, to be held in partnership with the Talent Courtyard on May 22, will combine relaxation techniques, positive thinking and creative expression.

Andrea Meszaros, founder and director at the Talent Courtyard, said: ?During these challenging times, we have seen an increase in travel industry professionals looking to improve their mental wellbeing, by staying connected and dreaming about experiences, until they are able to travel again. We have had a lot of tourist boards and hotel brands showing interest in our programmes, and wanting to take part in it. We are absolutely delighted to be launching this event in partnership with the Malta Tourism Authority, as Malta and Gozo are perfect locations to host a wellbeing retreat.?

The 360-degree virtual retreat has been designed to keep up the holiday vibes among the guests, who can be a part of this event and enjoy beautiful sights and interesting places while staying at home. The interactive workshops at the retreat help people de-stress, improve their mood, stimulate their mind and enhance wellbeing.

Natalie Swinburne, trade marketing manager at Malta Tourism Authority says: "The wellbeing of our partners and agents at this time, is really important to us. Collaboration with Talent Courtyard to host our first ever half-day Virtual Retreat provided the perfect opportunity to support and look after them. Malta and Gozo?s wellbeing offering is getting stronger and stronger. We will bring some of our on-island experiences to our travel sales professionals alongside an immersive programme and hope that many will join us.?

The archipelago of Malta is a sunny coastline in the central Mediterranean, with more than 7,000 years of history, with a line up of fortresses, megalithic temples and burial chambers. The local food in Malta has a variety of influences, including French, English, Spanish, Italian and Mediterranean. The wellness retreats and spat hotels, make it an essential wellness holiday spot. Most surprisingly, they are just a three-hour flight away from the UK.
