Edwards Coaches offers free travel to NHS workers

South Wales-based coach company Edwards Coaches is offering free travel for NHS workers along its local routes between Pontypridd and Cardiff during the COVID-19 pandemic. This includes a direct service to the Royal Glamorgan Hospital.

This offer follows on from a service the company provided earlier this year in which it offered free transport to people who were protesting plans to close the hospital's A&E department earlier this year, as well as providing free local service buses for residents who were affected by the flooding in the town of Nantgarw in February.

Jason Edwards, the company director said: "As a nation, we are experiencing a great deal of uncertainty and angst at the moment and at Edwards, we always want to do whatever we can to help. We can do that by supporting our local community, who are really important to us, and ensuring that our fantastic NHS has one less thing to worry about during this crisis."
