Travel Counsellors experience social media training aboard Virgin Voyages

Travel Counsellors Virgin Voyages social media training trip14 agents hopped aboard and sailed across the Mediterranean, immersing themselves in social media training to boost sales and grow business. 

Travel Counsellors hosted 14 of its agent partners along with its supplier partner Virgin Voyages, inspiring travel entrepreneurs with creative social media tips and tricks to help them grow their business. 

The seven-night trip followed hot on the heels of Travel Counsellors' new immersive training days. 

Four Travel Counsellors 'social media experts' accompanied the agents, who learnt how to gather great content, learn top tips for social media promotion, and become more comfortable on their channels, alongside valuable Virgin Voyages product knowledge. 

Kirsten Hughes, UK Managing Director and Chief Commercial Officer at Travel Counsellors, said: "The idea came about as we continue to see and harness the power of inspirational, personalised content across our brand platforms and in helping our Travel Counsellors to reach audiences and build their business via their own social media channels. 

"We also want to ensure we are working with our valued supplier partners in the most creative and innovative ways when we collaborate and are given opportunities to sample amazing products such as Virgin Voyages, enabling us to really showcase the experience on a wider scale."

On board, the Counsellors split up into small groups with social media experts and toured Valiant Lady, creating content and  completing challenges along the way, uploaded using #tcxvirginvoyages. 

Travel Counsellor Louise Murray, who applied to take part, said: "It was a great opportunity to attend the Virgin Voyages social media training trip. It was my first ever cruise so, I learnt a lot of new product knowledge about the amazing Virgin Voyages brand that will help when selling cruise trips to my customers. 

"The social media training was brilliant, and I came away feeling like I had learnt so much and I am looking forward to implementing the knowledge in order to grow my business."
