South Australia and Western Australia was spotlighted on a recent fam trip with the South Australian Tourism Commission, Tourism Western Australia, and Malaysia Airlines.
Positioning the combination of Australia's Southern and Western regions as the ultimate wildlife safari, agents from The Turquoise Holiday Company, Travel Counsellors, Travel Nation, Trailfinders, Flight Centre, Travelbag, and Wexas were joined by the South Australian Tourism Commission's Kiara Tainton, Audley Travel's Charlotte Fennell, and Tourism Australia's Antionette Stavrou.
Agents enjoyed a trip to the natural haven of Kangaroo Island, where they headed on a wildlife safari, saw a rare-sighted colony of sea lions on the aptly-named Seal Bay, and visited the recently reopened Southern Ocean Lodge.
Keely Roberts from Wexas said after the trip: "I discovered what a great combination these two states make for clients looking for a nature and wildlife adventure in the great outdoors. Meeting native species like Koalas on Kangaroo Island, Snubfin Dolphins at Roebuck Bay and Quokkas at Rottnest Island really was a highlight for a nature and wildlife enthusiast like me!"
After a flight to Cygnet Bay courtesy of Air Kimberley, the group explored the famous pearl farm and ventured on a snubfin dolphin-spotting cruise sailing towards Roebuck Bay.
Travel Counsellor Donna Waddington said the trip "has totally enhanced my knowledge of both states. I have learnt just how easy it is to combine both states easily for an amazing and diverse holiday, especially for lovers of wildlife and amazing scenery - it can’t fail to impress."
