Antigua and Barbuda maintains beach-a-day promise with summer pop-up and reveals Leap Year baby incentive

A 366th beach is due to be unveiled at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium to maintain the tourist boards beach-a-day promise during the Leap Year.

'Beach 366' hopes to acknowledge those born on February 29th while highlighting the islands' rich cricketing histories.

Due to open during Cricket World Cup festivities in June, CEO of the Antigua and Barbuda Tourism Authority, Colin C. James, said Beach 366 is "more than just an addition to the islands' already impressive array of beaches; it's a celebration of community, sport, and the unique quirks of the calendar."

The pop-up beach will host a programme of cricket-related activities and events throughout the World Cup, and the first 29 'Leap Year' babies (those born on February 29th) will earn exclusive privileges, including airport fast-track service and special recognition during the World Cup festivities.
