This ceremony is set under the majestic roof of the open sky amid the deep night, and as it begins we hear the distant sound of a procession. The ceremony tells the tale of a Mayan Cham?n who has asked the gods to kill his own daughter and her lover. Repentant of his actions, the Cham?n turns to sadness and asks the village to help him recreate the ancient and mysterious Fire of Life ceremony so he can find peace within his soul.
