Reacting to high demand and strong early booking sales, Thomson and First Choice has now announced that they will be offering an extra weekly flight to the North African destination, as well as operating an additional weekly flight to Dalaman in Turkey.
Jodi Stow, marketing and communications manager for Doncaster Sheffield Airport said: ?This is great news for the airport and a welcome boost for travellers from across the region.
?The total Thomson and First Choice capacity for summer 2010 will now exceed our summer 2009 capacity with almost 6000 extra seats on sale.
?We work closely with Thomson and First Choice and are pleased that strong early bookings have created the demand for these extra flights.
?We have found that people like to book early to travel from Doncaster Sheffield Airport to guarantee the convenience of being able to fly from their local airport.?
The new Monastir flight will operate on Sunday?s from 23rd May ? 31st October with the extra Dalaman flight operating on Thursday?s from 27th May for 23 weeks.
Thomson has also put on sale some brand new cruise itineraries that will sail from Marmaris in Turkey. The new Dalaman flights will connect with these itineraries.
