Virgin Atlantic has announced a new codeshare agreement with Aerom?xico, opening up many new Mexican destinations for its customers.

Customers booking through virginatlantic.com are now able to select flights direct from London Heathrow to Mexico City or connect through four US airports: New York JFK, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and Orlando.

The variety of new route combinations include

?        London Heathrow to Mexico City, direct with Aerom?xico

?        From Mexico City onward to a selection of domestic Mexican destinations

?        London Heathrow to Los Angeles or Atlanta with Virgin Atlantic, with onward connections to Leon, Guadalajara and Monterrey

Virgin Atlantic?s new deal with Aerom?xico will complement the existing connections on offer via Delta. Customers booking the new codeshare will connect smoothly between both airlines with a single booking reference and check in.

Shai Weiss, chief commercial officer at Virgin Atlantic, said: ?We?re committed to working with the best airline partners around the world, and I?m delighted to add Aerom?xico to our growing portfolio. This new partnership complements the existing connections our partner Delta offers and provides even more Mexican destinations for our customers.  Not only this, but travellers will experience the ease and convenience of booking through a codeshare.?

Anko van der Werff, chief revenue officer at Aeromexico, added: ?This codeshare clearly reflects our mission to keep striving in order to offer our passengers a better connectivity with the best partners. Thus, we are certain this alliance will strengthen not only our network but will also propel cultural, business and tourism ties between Mexico and the United Kingdom.?
