The Vietnam National Administration of Tourism (VNAT) launched its first international office in London during a ceremony at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office.
More than 250 dignitaries attended the evening hosted by Le Quang Tung, deputy minister of The Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism and Kate White, director of Asia Pacific at the Foreign & Commonwealth Office. Among the honoured guests was the Vietnam Ambassador to the UK, the chairman of the Vietnam Tourism Advisory Board, tour operators, wider travel trade and consumer media.
The Vietnam Tourism Board has chosen London as the location for its first overseas representative office in a move to bring the country?s tourism assets even closer to UK travellers, assist with trip inspiration and encourage more UK travellers to visit.
Over 315,000 British visitors chose to visit Vietnam last year, up nearly 6% from the previous year. In order to increase these numbers, the Vietnam Tourism Board recently launched the brand campaign, VietnamNOW, to celebrate and showcase the country?s impressive tourism offerings.
