Following the conclusion of unplanned strike action by baggage handlers in Paphos, Cyprus yesterday (Wednesday 16 November), Thomson Airways says it has rescheduled its flying programme to ensure all customers get home, or are able to start their holiday, as soon as possible and with minimal disruption.

It will be reuniting all customers with their bags, as the strike meant that it was not possible for them all to collect their luggage upon arrival in Cyprus. This will be completed by the end of today.

All customers travelling to the UK are expected home by this evening. Customers due to join the Thomson Celebration in Paphos now have their luggage with them on board the cruise ship, and it will sail from Paphos this evening.

There has been a knock-on effect for a small number of flights departing from the UK today. The company reports it has been in touch with these customers encouraging them to stay at home during the delay if possible, and providing welfare for those already at the airport.

Thomson Airways apologises for the inconvenience to customers by these events.
