The spiritual six-day hiking tour gives travellers the opportunity to explore Japan's scenery and mystical sites along the Kumano Kodo ancient pilgrimage routes, and retraces the steps of the country's imperial ancestors and the ancient pilgrimage routes, dating back more than 1,000 years.

Visits are made to ancient sites such as the Takahara Kumano-jinja shrine and the statue of Kazan, one of the first abdicated emperors to pilgrimage to Kumano. Other highlights of the fully guided tour include the opportunity to see the highest waterfall in Japan, the Nachi Falls, plus the chance to relax in one of the oldest and most picturesque hot springs in Japan, the Yunomine Onsen.

The tour finishes with a stay in a Japanese Ryokan on a private island in the Katsuura Bay.
