The pre-paid ?smart card? pass will be available for sale via agents from this month, opening up a new potential source of ancilliary income on city-breaks to the German capital.

The?Berlin Pass offers entry to 53 of the city?s leading attractions,?including the Pergamon museum, The Jewish Museum and the Checkpoint Charlie Museum. Users also get free access to the Berlin public transport network, a hop-on-hop-off bus tour and a river cruise.

Customers will able to collect their passes in the city for the first time this year and a new redemption centre in central Berlin, has just opened.

The pass is available in two- and three-day durations and costs ?79 for adults and ?39 for children (two days) or ?89 for adults and ?45 for children (three days). Users also receive a 96-page city sightseeing guide.
