p>Official travel packages for Rugby World Cup (RWC) 2011 tournament in New Zealand have gone on sale.

This is the first opportunity for British and Irish rugby fans to confirm their place at rugby's premier tournament more than a year and a half before kick-off.

25,000 rugby supporters from the UK and Ireland are expected to head to New Zealand for the tournament.

The official travel packages are being promoted by one of the tournament?s Official Travel Agents (OTA?s), England Rugby Travel (www.englandrugbytravel.com).

Prices start from ?1849 per person for an ?Explorer? package which includes return flights to New Zealand and official match tickets to England?s last two pool matches. Full travel packages start from ?4799 per person.

Price includes return flights to New Zealand, transfers, all travel and internal flights, 12 nights accommodation (based on two sharing) and official match tickets to the four games over the opening two weekends including the All Blacks opening match and England?s first two pool games.

Fans can purchase a wide range of options from just a single match ticket and one night?s accommodation, to a seven week motor home touring holiday in New Zealand with tickets to all England?s pool matches, semi-finals and then the final at Eden Park.

The tournament, which kicks off on September 9 when New Zealand?s All Blacks face Tonga, features a total of 13 match venues throughout the country, with 23 centres hosting teams from Whangarei in the top of the North Island to Invercargill at the bottom of the South Island. This is an important component to bring to life New Zealand?s ?Stadium of Four Million? concept as the country gets set to welcome the world to a nationwide ?festival of rugby? atmosphere. Preparations to welcome what is estimated to be 85,000 fans from around the world are on schedule.

The final will be played at Eden Park in Auckland on October 23, 2011. Individual match tickets will go on sale via the official tournament website www.rugbyworldcup.com globally from April 2010.

In addition there are two further Official Travel Agents in UK who will be promoting and selling a wide range of travel packages to the tournament over the coming months - Gullivers Travel and Thomas Cook Sport.
