Tel Aviv commemorates 25th Pride Parade anniversary

The city commemorated the 25th anniversary of its renowned Pride Parade as thousands of people came together to celebrate inclusivity and diversity Tel Aviv strives to achieve.

This year, Tel Aviv Global & Tourism showcased a vibrant Pride float in collaboration with leading drag queen Erika Histerika Genderika. The collaboration added an extra touch of glamour and excitement to the festivities, and aimed to highlight the strides the city has made when it comes to inclusivity and pushing the boundaries for the LGBTQ+ community.

The parade took place along the coastline before returning to the Tel Aviv Promenade to kick off the afternoon activities. Proceedings started with a display of nine trucks representing party lines in Tel Aviv and various LGBTQ+ organisations, all adorned in captivating decorations and manned by performers from the community.

Tel Aviv-Yafo Mayor, Ron Huldai, said: “The Pride weekend started with a clear message for everyone: We are equal, we are all human, and we all deserve to love without fear, whoever we want.”

Tomorrow, Tel Aviv will host its renowned After Pride Party, a six-hour extravaganza showcasing artists and DJ’s, including Eurovision winner Netta Barzilai.
