The escorted tour company has unveiled details on its new collection of ‘self-drive’ holiday experiences, adding flexibility to its jam-packed itineraries.
The collection features 25 UK ‘Self-Drive Experiences’, all priced from £359 per person and include hotel accommodation with meals, a full programme of excursions with escorted coach transfers, and a dedicated tour manager.
Many of the experiences feature a trip on scenic railways such as the North Yorkshire Moors Railway, and the Snowdon Mountain Railway, as well as guided walks in the serene countryside. A selection of festive self-drive experiences are also available, including Christmas markets and New Year holidays, with added extras to really help guests get into the festive spirit.
Ashley Dallow, Leger Shearings Group’s head of retail sales, said: “The new collection of ‘Self-Drive Experiences’ allows customers to independently make their own way to the hotel but unlike other self-drive tours, then join a group for a programme of coach holiday excursions and activities, with no worries about navigation, or where to park.
“We expect the self-drive festive season experiences to be especially popular – customers have all the fun of enjoying the celebrations with a group but can then whizz off to perhaps visit friends and family, or do some Christmas shopping, on their way home.”
