For the first time the operator is offering city and fly/drive stays in the US, taking in New York, Boston and New England on the East Coast and Seattle and San Francisco on the West Coast. The five new adventure cruises in British Columbia and South East Alaska are on 70ft luxury yachts and range from four to nine days.
Visitors can discover ancient native villages, primeval forests and coastal wildlife. Tours include a seven-day British Columbia cruise in search of the Kermode bear, with the chance to view grizzly and black bears as well as orca and humpback whales. It costs from ?4,975 per person including flights, transfers and a seven-day cruise with Bluewater Adventures. Also new for next year are 14 handpicked special accommodation stays across British Columbia, Alberta, Ontario and Quebec. Properties range from five-star hotels to country auberges, chalets and log cabins.
Meanwhile, the new heli-hiking packages depart from Banff in Alberta, with the hikes taking place in British Columbia. The tours cater for a variety of fitness levels and start from ?498 per person, excluding flights, for three days' hiking with meals and two nights? accommodation. Also featured in the brochure are four escorted coach tours: two in the Rockies, one in Atlantic Canada and a tour taking in Alaska and the Yukon. The tours run between May and September and cost from ?1,396 per person for a ten-day 'Rockies Trail' from Calgary to Vancouver. In the US the operator is featuring city stays and tours in Boston, New York, Seattle, San Francisco, as well as one-stop holidays in New England and breaks that include any combination of the region's states.
An eight-day independent rail tour is also featured, which travels through the cities of Boston, New York, Philadelphia and Washington and costs from ?1,370 per person including flights, seven nights' room-only accommodation and sightseeing tours in each city.
