Over and out: FITUR 2024 recorded staggering 250,000 attendance rate

FITUR 2024 has closed its doors on its 44th edition after welcoming a staggering quarter of a million participants over the five days while continuing to strengthen its global influence with mesmerising on-stand performances and jaw-dropping stands. 

153,000 professionals and 97,000 visitors swarmed to IFEMA Madrid between January 24th to 28th to collaborate with all players in the tourism industry and share their knowledge and best practices across the recording-breaking exhibition space. The trade fair boasted nine pavilions which held stands for 9,000 companies, 152 countries and 806 main exhibitors.  

The honouree guest list for FITUR 2024 included Their Majesties King Felipe and Queen Letizia of Spain; Daniel Noboa, President of Ecuador; Pedro Sánchez, the Prime Minister of Spain; Edi Rama, Prime Minister of Albania; representatives from the UNTWO; as well as almost 400 authority members including ministers, state secretaries, ambassadors and mayors from different global regions. 

The 44th edition represented a 13.7% increase in visitors compared to 2023, and shows signs of coming back even bigger next year as IFEMA Madrid have already announced that next year the trade fair will take place from January 22nd to 26th, 2025.
