New walking safaris in Blue Mountains

Blue Mountains Private Safaris has launched two new, full-day walking safaris that access some of the most remote parts of the Blue Mountains in Australias New South Wales.

Suitable for keen hikers, the two-day trips can be combined with an optional overnight camping stay.

 

A Granite Gorges and Waterfalls walk follows the Wollondilly River to the head of a hidden valley and the base of a 300m waterfall, while a Sandstone Escarpments walk offers panoramic views over the Wollondilly Valley and the Southern Blue Mountains.

Tours cost A$225 per person (approximately ?140) and are available for groups of two to six people. A package combining the two-day walks, overnight accommodation at the riverside bush camp, a range of tailored activities including kayaking on the Wollondilly River, all meals and beverages and transfers from Joadja Vineyard is available from A$675 per person (approximately ?410), based on twin share.
