FRED. OLSEN CRUISE LINES has introduced twin-for-sole occupancy discounts, entitling solo guests occupying a twin cabin to at least 75% off the supplement costs. The offer is available on a range of cruise itineraries in 2015/16 including Balmoral, Braemar, Boudicca and Black Watch cruises.
Meanwhile, in order for solo travellers to meet other guests they are being invited to attend exclusive gatherings and will also be seated with other travellers at dinner.
There are also Gentleman Hosts and Dance Couples on board to provide dancing partners for solo guests.
As an example of prices, a 32-night ?Caribbean from Scotland? cruise, departing from Glasgow on November 10, offers a lead-in price of ?2,799 per person. It includes accommodation, all meals and entertainment on board, plus port dues. Guests can also choose to upgrade to an all-inclusive drinks package from ?10 per person.
