MSC Cruises expands its fleet to 21 ships after the delivery of its new flagship MSC Seascape.
Standing as the largest cruise ship ever to be built in Italy, MSC Seascape is ready to set sail for the Big Apple for her Naming Ceremony on December 7, 2022, where she will depart to Miami for her inaugural season in the Caribbean. The delivery was overseen by the founder and executive chairman of MSC Cruises, Gianluigi Aponte, as well as executive chairman, Pierfrancesco Vago, and CEO of Fincantieri, Pierroberto Folgiero.
MSC Cruises chief executive officer, Gianni Onorato, said, “MSC Seascape is the second ship to come into service this year bringing our modern fleet to 21 ships. We are proud to welcome her to our fleet ads she is the second Seaside EVO ship and completes the innovative Seaside class.
“MSC Seascape aims to connect guests with the sea, she offers a wealth of outdoor spaces allowing guests to enjoy the beautiful scenery of the Caribbean, where she will spend her inaugural season.”
MSC Seascape will offer two different seven-night itinerary’s in her inaugural season; the Eastern Caribbean, calling at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, the Bahamas, Puerto Rico and the Dominican Republic; and the Western Caribbean, calling at Ocean Cay MSC Marine Reserve, Mexico, the Cayman Islands and Jamaica.
