The enhanced ‘Future Cruise Programme’ is designed to benefit travel agents and customers alike if they book their next cruise while onboard.
The new scheme will see original agents who booked their customer onto an MSC cruise receive a full commission for any new booking that customer makes onboard. The cruise line believes the programme will allow agency resources to better allocated and provide more funds for new opportunities.
The ‘Future Cruise Programme’ will also include a reduced ‘onboard-only deposit’ for guests, starting at £100 per person for their next cruise, and featuring greater flexibility for reservations that can be changed to suit the guest’s needs prior to the final payment.
Other benefits from the existing programme will carry over, including up to £200 in shipboard credit available for the customer’s next cruise and double points for the cruise line’s MSC Voyagers Club loyalty programme.
Achille Staiano, SVP global sales, MSC Cruises, said: “We believe that the new ‘Future Cruise Programme’ is an extension of an agency’s business as we at MSC Cruises continue to build loyalty with our valued travel partners.
“We are confident that this new initiative will be a win-win for both the trade and cruise holidaymakers as we know that highly satisfied guests onboard our fleet of 22 ships means that travel agents have highly satisfied customers.”
Every new booking a guest makes will send email confirmation to the agent in order to keep managing the relationship between their customers after they return home.
