More places made available for Amsterdam cruise expo

More than 100 agents have signed up for?the ACE River Cruise Expo which?takes place?on November 20-21?in Amsterdam, and following increased?demand,?more places have? now been made available.?

Agents will have the opportunity to visit up to five river ships and the expo will focus on providing practical advice and guidance for agents to?take advantage of the growing interest in river cruise holidays.

 

The latest figures show that river is emerging as the fastest growing sector of the British cruise market with nearly 134,000 UK passengers taking to the world?s river last year, up 8% on the previous year.

The?expo will include visits to ships operated by AMA Waterways, APT, Titan HiTours Elegant River Cruises and Shearings.? Agents will spend overnight onboard on Sunday and will be provided with specialist river cruise and destination training together with a boat trip of Amsterdam?s?canals.

The association's director, Flo Powell,?said: ?I?m delighted with the great response we?ve received for?our first?River Cruise Expo.?We have designed this event to help agents become more knowledgeable in all aspects of river cruising enabling them to sell more holidays.? We have also recently launched online product training courses from APT, Avalon Waterways and Shearings with more on the way."
