Monarch has launched its summer 2010 scheduled programme from all four of its UK bases - Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester, which includes new services to the Canary Islands of Gran Canaria and Fuerteventura for the summer season and increased frequencies to Tenerife, Lanzarote, Larnaca, Gibraltar and Ibiza.

Highlights of the summer 2010 schedule currently on sale include: -

New route - Fuerteventura - two flights per week from Manchester and one flight per week from Birmingham, Gatwick and Luton

New route -Gran Canaria - two flights per week from Birmingham and Manchester and one flight per week from Gatwick

Increased frequency - Birmingham - Tenerife - six flights per week

Increased frequency - Gatwick - Tenerife - seven flights per week

Increased frequency - Luton - Tenerife - seven flights per week

Increased frequency - Birmingham - Larnaca - three flights per week

Increased frequency - Manchester - Larnaca - up to seven flights per week

Increased frequency - Gatwick - Lanzarote - up to six flights per week

Increased frequency - Manchester - Lanzarote - up to seven flights per week

Increased frequency - Luton - Gibraltar - daily flight

Increased frequency - Manchester - Ibiza - six flights per week

The introduction of new services to Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria brings the total number of routes operated by Monarch for summer 2010 to 49.

Commenting on the launch of the summer 2010 schedule, Liz Savage, managing director of Monarch flights and holidays said, "We are delighted to have our summer 2010 schedule on sale so early, which provides customers with the opportunity to plan ahead and grab a great deal on flights to their favourite sunshine destinations.

"We are seeing huge demand for our mid-haul destinations this year and have responded to this with the introduction of Fuerteventura and Gran Canaria in addition to increasing frequencies to Tenerife and Lanzarote meaning even more people can take advantage of our low fares.

"The onboard service offered on Monarch's scheduled flights, which includes extra legroom seating, a great range of tasty hot and cold food, and selected inflight entertainment is over and above the levels provided by most low fares airlines, and is perfectly suited for these longer flight sectors."

Summer 2010 flights are available to book now on www.monarch.co.uk until 30 October 2010.

Monarch operates scheduled flights to Mainland Spain, the Balearic and Canary Islands, Portugal, Gibraltar and Cyprus from Birmingham, London Gatwick, London Luton and Manchester airports with fares, including taxes, starting from just ?46.50 one-way (?76.99 return).

In addition to year-round low fares, Monarch also offers a unique range of tasty hot and cold meals onboard with prices from ?3.00. To avoid a last minute free-for-all when boarding, seats can be pre-booked at ?6 per one-way flight, or from only ?15, extra-legroom seats are available, which offer up to six inches of extra space.

Passengers travelling on scheduled flights can also avoid the queues at the airport and take advantage of online check-in which is available between seven days and 4.5 hours prior to departure.
