Monarch has announced a further expansion of its operations across the Midlands with the launch of a new base at East Midlands Airport, plus the growth of services from Birmingham International Airport. Monarch has announced a further expansion of its operations across the Midlands with the launch of a new base at East Midlands Airport, plus the growth of services from Birmingham International Airport.

The airline will introduce a new base at East Midlands from late summer and launch new flights to key leisure destinations across the Mediterranean, including Malaga, Alicante, Palma (Mallorca) and Faro (Portugal).

The carrier will also expand its operations from Birmingham with additional frequencies on existing routes to Malaga, Alicante, Faro, Rome and Palma, plus the addition of a new route to Barcelona.
