Monarch is adding thousands of seats to its existing flying programme over Christmas and New Year due to a rise in demand for flights wanting winter sun.
More than 17,500 seats have been added, including 35 extra flights to Faro, Lanzarote, Tenerife, Gran Canaria, Gibraltar, Alicante and Malaga, departing from Birmingham, Gatwick, Luton and Manchester between December 19,2012 and January 9, 2013.
Kevin George, managing director of Monarch Airlines, said: ?We have been delighted by the increased demand for seats on our flights during Christmas and New Year and we are very pleased to be able to respond by offering our customers more seats which, as always, are excellent value for money. The Christmas and New Year period is a perfect time for a well-deserved break and these short and mid-haul destinations are ideally located for customers wanting a winter holiday.
?Our current marketing campaign, ?Remedy for the Winter Blues?,? highlights how we really do suffer in the UK from the ?winter blues? with our shorter days, rain, and cold, and these extra flights support our campaign by offering our customers the remedy for the blues with some winter sun.?
