Mike Greenacre elected back to ABTA board

ABTA is pleased to confirm that Mike Greenacre, Mmanaging director of the Co-operative Travel Group has been elected to its Board to represent retailers with a turnover of over ?20 million, after a fiercely contested election with Johnny Pollard from on the Beach.

Mark Tanzer, ABTA chief executive said: ?Congratulations to Mike for his election back to the ABTA Board in what is a very important time for ABTA and the industry. Mike has been a source of invaluable advice over the past three years, and provides us with stability to tackle the future.?

 

Mike Greenacre said: ?I am delighted to have been elected to the ABTA Board and look forward to continue the fight against rises in APD, and in continuing to put pressure on UK and EU Governments with regards to reforming consumer protection. In the coming months our industry is facing enormous change and I hope that my continued presence on the ABTA Board will help ABTA to lead our industry to a successful and profitable future.?
