p>As the dynamic packaging continues to evolve, hotels4u.com, which acquired medhotels.com last year, has announced that as of April 17, medhotels.com will become the sole trade facing bedbank for third party agents.

medhotels.com will now offer the combined product range and services of hotels4u.com and medhotels.com providing agents with one dedicated trade website.

?

Featuring in excess of 50,000 properties, medhotels.com will now become the UK's largest bedbank. Whereas hotels4u.com will be relaunched as a consumer facing accommodation only brand as part of Thomas Cooks growing independent division later this month.

With the majority of third party agents booking via xml agents will now benefit from using only one feed instead of two. Not only will this assist in keeping search and response time to a minimum, but it will prevent duplication of results ensuring agents are presented with the best value options for their customers clearly and quickly.

For those agents booking via medhotels.com they will have access to the widest range of hotels, apartments and villas in popular beach, city or ski at the most competitive prices all within one dedicated site.

Teresa Walsh, sales & marketing director medhotels.com and hotels4u.com said: ?Since acquiring medhotels.com in 2009 we have been looking at ways in which we can enhance our bedbank proposition further for agents. We now feel confident that by combining the extensive product portfolios of the two leading bedbanks we will not only improve both ours and the agents? efficiency, but provide agents with a one-stop-shop for all their accommodation and transfer needs.?

Access to medhotels.com will remain the same, and any agent who logs onto hotels4u.com after April 17 will automatically be diverted to medhotels.com. The repositioning will also be supported by a trade advertising campaign that will assist in communicating to all agents and the travel industry as a whole.

Medhotels.com will also feature a new admin tool that allows agents to manage their bookings and administration more efficiently going forward.

And, to help provide customer with a seamless journey, transfers will continue to be available through www.hoteltransfer.com
