p>The Leading Cruise Agents of the UK (LCA) has introduced a new membership arrangement designed for consortia, alliances and miniples.

The new system, which was running on a trial basis for the past year has now been introduced for agent groups whereby the head office becomes the main LCA member at the usual fee but any number of outlets or franchises may then join for a discounted membership fee per outlet. Current members include Go Cruise, Global Cruising, Worldchoice Cruise Club and Elite Travel Group.

Meanwhile, the organisation has signed three new associate members - Compagnie du Ponant, European Waterways and Voyages to Antiquity; one new affiliate member and a range of new agent members.

The Affiliate Member option was introduced in spring last year and to date, seven companies have signed up, the latest being Cruise Destination Hardangerfjord.

The programme enables affiliates to promote their products and services to members.

Membership currently stands at 69 and a target of 80 has been set for this year.

Agents interested in joining the LCA should contact secretariat, Matt Bates, at lca.info@btinternet.com or call 01292-316820.
