Edinburgh airport will play host to new routes, extra capacity and additional aircraft as the demand from Scottish holidaymakers continues to rise.
From summer 2024, the operator will introduce a seventh-based aircraft to the airport, enabling it to introduce two new routes for the summer season. Travellers will be able to fly twice-weekly to Rome from March 8th, 2024, and weekly to Malta from May 1st, 2024.
The expansion means that Jet2holidays will now operate 96 weekly flights to 32 destinations in summer 2024 from Edinburgh Airport.
Steve Heapy, CEO of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays, said: “We are looking forward to our biggest ever summer 2024 from Edinburgh Airport, and this huge expansion to our programme is a demonstration of our continued commitment to investing in our operations at the base ahead of it.”
The fun doesn’t stop in the sun however, as Jet2.com has also added two new routes for the winter season. Due to a soar in demand for skiing holidays, a weekly service will operate to Chambery between February 10th and April 6th, 2024, offering easy access to some of France’s most famous ski resorts.
Winter services and city breaks have also gone on sale to Prague for winter 24/25 which will operate twice per week from October 3rd, 2024.
