Disneyland Paris - which celebrates its 20th anniversary year in 2012 - was awarded the title of Best European Theme Park by Travel Bulletin after beating off competition across Europe, in a sector that was voted for by travel agents only.
2012 has seen Disneyland Paris continue to strengthen its strong relationship with agents by creating appealing initiatives, including the Disneyland Paris Ambassadors Program, which saw the appointment of 20 trade ambassadors who travelled to the park for a VIP FAM trip, as well as creating a range of tools to assist agents in selling the brand to customers.
Hugh Wood, VP of Disney Destinations International, said: ?Thank you to everyone who voted for Disneyland Paris to win the Travel Bulletin Star European Theme Park Award. We?re thrilled to accept this accolade, especially as it was voted for by Travel Agents. We look forward to hosting guests at Disneyland Paris for its 20th Anniversary, and in the future, as a result of the hard work of all of our agencies.?
It has been a winning year for Disney Destinations International, with Disneyland Paris also receiving the title of Best International Destination and Best Overseas Attraction for Groups this year. Other Disney brands have also been recognised in the travel industry with Walt Disney World Resort in Florida scooping Best Themepark (Worldwide) 2012 and Disney Cruise Line being named Best For Kids.
