p> An increasing call for flights between London and Reykjavik has prompted IIceland Express to add another UK airport to its schedule. In response to public demand, Iceland Express will re-commence flights between London Stansted and Keflavik International Airport, Reykjavik.
This will be in addition to the London Gatwick service and follows the recent announcement of a new route from Birmingham International Airport.
?The demand for flights between the UK and Iceland is stronger than it?s ever been so we wanted to cater for this popularity,? says Matthias Imsland, Iceland Express CEO.
?We have always had good relations at Stansted Airport so it seemed only natural to fly from there once again. Also, we were getting lots of requests to move back to the airport from our customers who used to use the service regularly.
?This addition to our schedule is extremely exciting for Iceland Express and comes at a great time for the airline, especially as we are also launching our new Birmingham route next summer.?
Iceland Express used to fly between London Stansted and Reykjavik until the airline moved operations to London Gatwick in May 2009. The new Stansted service will begin in November 2009 and will fly twice a week, every Monday and Friday.
