The Gran Canaria Spa, Wellness & Health Association has identified a spike in the wellness resort boom as it adds another luxury wellness property to its portfolio.
Just in time for the island’s peak tourism season (July-September), the luxury Cordial Santa Agueda Resort & Perchel Beach Club has become the recent member of the association’s partners, which now totals a strong board of 10 four- and five-star properties across the destination.
The latest resort offers a nostalgic home away from home atmosphere with an idyllic environment and 87 opulent villas, an unrivalled gastronomy experience and a sophisticated seaside spa. Other partners of the association include the Gloria Palace Royal Hotel & Spa, known for its incredible infinity pool and conveniently located on the edge of Gran Canaria’s Amadores golden beach, and Seaside Palm Beach, boasting vintage style luxury in a unique and secluded environment, perfect for travellers wishing to rejuvenate the soul.
The wellness tourism industry has been reported to be growing twice as fast as general tourism, with UK travellers especially looking for ways to alleviate stress, reduce illness and boost wellbeing. The Gran Canaria Spa, Wellness & Health Association is backed by the Gran Canaria Tourist Board and aims to position the island as a premier destination for wellness across the all markets.
