Fred. Holidays have launched a new luxury cruise that ventures through the historic Douro Valley and the heart of Portugal’s wine country.
The seven-night voyage will take place on the five-star Douro Serenity, and includes a round trip from Porto with visits to Mateus Palace in Vila Real, the ruins of Castelo Rodrigo, the city Salamanca and the pilgrimage town of Lamego.
Departures are on June 20 and October 10, 2023, and May 28 and July 2, 2024. Prices stand at £1,995 per person which includes return flights from London and overseas transfers.
Fred. Holidays is also offering additional add-ons for guests wishing to explore more of Portugal. Three-night stays are available in a four-star hotel in both Porto and Lisbon from £345 (Porto) and £395 (Lisbon). Optional add-on activities such as a Lisbon food and wine tour (£70 per peson), a pastel de nata baking class (£45 per person) and a sunset cruise boat tour (£35 per person) are also available.
