The company?s managing director, Alisdair Luxmoore, said: ?We did diplomatically try to tell the owners whose properties we manage that the prices they were asking during the World Cup were unrealistic but our advice fell on deaf ears. ?Now, as the tournament draws ever nearer, I have never seen so much humble pie being swallowed and prices are coming down to a much more affordable level.? As an example, Camelot in the Constantia area has reduced prices from ?3,537 per day to ?1,768, based on a minimum five-night stay. The six-bedroomed house sleeps up to 12 people and is situated in the Cape Peninsula National Park forest, on the slopes of Table Mountain.
