Cruises will continue to avoid the trend of increased holiday costs into 2023

Cruises will continue to buck the trend in increased holiday costs going into 2023, a leading cruise specialist has predicated.

Cruise.co.uk has found the majority of Mediterranean, Northern Europe and Caribbean voyages next year will stay cost-consistent with those from a decade ago. The online agent compared similar sailing experiences from multiple cruise lines and discovered that most were either in line with inflation or cheaper overall.

One discovery was that an inside cabin on a 14-night P&O Caribbean Cruise, sailing from Barbados, was priced at £1,659 per person in 2012, as opposed to £1,503 in 2019 and £1,139 in 2023.

Overall, cruise.co.uk’s bookings are up 35% from 2019, as holidays at sea bounce back in popularity.

Managing director of cruise.co.uk, Tony Andrews, said, “2023 is shaping up to be another year where cruise holidaymakers can take advantage of the incredible value for money an escape at sea offers. With meals, top class entertainment, kid’s clubs and on-board leisure facilities all included in the price, a cruise is hard to beat or price, choice and convenience.

“We have every confidence 2023 is shaping up to be the year of the cruise.”
