While passenger numbers on its group tours across the region have maintained a steady level in 2014, Cox & Kings reports a 10% increase in tailor-made bookings to the region, with a 47% increase in passengers to Egypt and a 40% increase in numbers travelling to Oman.

Peter Hilton, Cox & Kings? Middle East product manager said: ?We have worked hard to negotiate excellent rates with hotels and suppliers, which combined with the strengthening rate of the pound, has enabled us to offer significant price reductions for 2015, with savings across all of our tours. During a turbulent time for the Middle East region, there is increased interest in destinations such as Morocco and Oman. My pick for 2015, Oman is one of the least known, yet most exciting parts of the Middle East, with a wealth of culture and historic sites as well as beautiful scenery and excellent beaches.?

MOROCCO: Splendours of Morocco, an 8-day / 7-night escorted tour of the imperial cities, is priced from ?895 per person, a saving of ?150 per person compared to 2014. With the recent influx of new luxury hotels opening in Marrakech, it has become an increasingly popular short break destination. A 3-night stay at Riad Kniza in the heart of the medina is priced from ?425 per person.

OMAN: Passenger numbers to Oman have continued to increase throughout 2014 with tailor made bookings more than doubling, and group tour numbers up 10% compared to 2013. Taking in forts and palaces, the rolling dunes of the Wahiba Sands and the stunning Al Hoota cave complex, Oman: An Arabian Odyssey is priced from ?1,695 per person and includes a night in the 1,000 Nights Camp in the Wahiba Sands. This is a saving of ?100 per person compared to 2014. Opened earlier in 2014, the new Alila Jabal Akhdar hotel is just a two hour drive from Muscat and makes an excellent option for a trip combining the rugged mountain scenery of Jabal Akhdar with the beaches of Muscat. Cox & Kings has a new 8-day / 6-night Peak to Beach twin-centre suggestion priced from ?1,495 per person including 3 nights at the Alila Jabal Akhdar with 3 nights at the Shangri-La Al Jissah Resort.

CENTRAL ASIA: On the heart of the Silk Road, Central Asia?s countries have played host to conquerors and nomads, leaving behind a fascinating legacy. New for 2015 is a 16-day / 15-night private Central Asia Explorer tour priced from ?2,995 per person. This tour takes in the mosques, madrasas and mausoleums of Uzbekistan as well as scenic Lake Issyk Kul, Ala Archa National Park and Djety Ocuz gorge in Kyrgyzstan, while journeying through the villages, deserts and mountains of Central Asia. Uzbekistan: The Heart of Central Asia remains one of the company?s bestselling escorted tours in 2014, and for 2015 the 12-day / 10-night tour is priced from ?1,395 per person, a saving of ?280 per person compared to 2014.

Discover Turkmenistan, a 10-day / 8-night escorted tour, is priced from ?2,645 per person, a ?350 per person saving compared to 2014 and The Legendary Silk Route by Rail, a 14-day / 12-night non-exclusive group tour with 8 nights on board a private train and 4 nights in local hotels, is priced from ?4,695 per person, a ?750 saving per person.

All prices include international flights, transfers, excursions and accommodation with breakfast daily unless specified otherwise.
