Two Midcounties Co-operative Travel branches have been recognised for recording the highest sales of Jet2holidays in their respective regions at the package break provider?s VIP conference, and have had two stars named after them.
The Walsall team enjoyed double success and was named the top seller for Jet2holidays with flights from Birmingham Airport, as well as the ?Best Overall Branch? in the southern region. This is the second year running that the Walsall branch, which is the only provider of Jet2holidays in the town, has received these accolades.
The Derby team also scooped the top seller award for the second consecutive year thanks to its strong sales performance for Jet2holidays packages from East Midlands Airport.
As part of the prize, Jet2holidays has renamed two stars in the galaxy after the winning branches. The stars Hercules and Aquila will now be known as The Midcounties Co-operative Travel Walsall and The Midcounties Co-operative Travel Derby.
The awards were presented at the annual Jet2holidays VIP Conference for independent travel agents, which was held at the 5-star Gloria Golf Resort in Turkey in December.
