CLIA to host second Port & Destination Summit in Hamburg

Following its inaugural summit in Barcelona last September, CLIA will host its 2015 edition in Hamburg, commencing one day before the city hosts the Seatrade Europe Cruise & River Cruise Convention from September 9-11.

The summit will comprise of a full-day session where delegates will have a chance to hold an open dialogue on a range of topics of relevance to the port and destination community. A business exchange session will follow on September 9, where delegates will have the chance to pre-book 1-2-1 meetings with cruise line executives.

24 cruise line executives representing 21 cruise brands have so far confirmed attendance.

Giora Israel, senior vice president for global port and destination development at Carnival Corporation and chairman of CLIA?s global port & destination committee, said: ?Following last year?s sold-out first summit in Barcelona, we are delighted to host a second Port & Destination event this year in Hamburg. It will give us a precious chance to follow up on many of the issues that we discussed last September and, more importantly, to check on the progress that has been achieved since.?
