Those looking for a city break rather than some time on the beach this Bank Holiday have new options following the recent introduction of flights to Bologna and Shannon. Scandinavian Airlines? service to Stockholm, which commences on 30 June, will further extend the choice for passengers planning breaks later this summer.
For travellers looking further afield, the recent code share between bmi regional and Lufthansa delivers additional long-haul connectivity, with frequent flights to the hub airports of Frankfurt and Munich opening up more global connections to the rest of the world.

Departing passengers are reminded to allow extra time for their journey to the Airport over the busy Bank Holiday weekend. In order to complete essential processes such as check-in, security and boarding, passengers are advised to arrive a minimum of two hours in advance of their flight departure.
Passengers checking in online can take advantage of 24/7 security opening hours throughout the summer to access the departure lounge early, allowing extra time to relax ahead of their flights.
Passengers travelling for the first time this year are reminded that Bristol Airport has introduced a ?silent airport? policy to reduce noise disturbance in the terminal. This has cut the number of announcements made over the public address system, which are now limited to security messages and a final call for boarding. Over 100 flight information screens are located around the terminal, with staff also on hand to assist passengers.
