BMI relaunches Diamond Club loyalty scheme

bmi has releanched its loyalty scheme, Diamond Club, with new features including family membership, the conversion of miles into upgrades and complimentary pre-bookable upgrades for Gold Card holders.

p>bmi has releanched its loyalty scheme, Diamond Club, with new features including family membership, the conversion of miles into upgrades and complimentary pre-bookable upgrades for Gold Card holders.

The relaunch also sees new airline and hotel partners. The new family membership will allow up to eight family members to join, with each member of the family able to earn their own miles when travelling with the airline or Star Alliance partners.

 

The current Gold complimentary upgrades will move from paper vouchers to electronic vouchers and upgrades will now be bookable up to seven days in advance via the airline?s call centre. Gold accounts will automatically be credited with four complimentary electronic upgrade vouchers.Similarly, all level members will now have the chance to pre-book upgrades on a revenue ticket through the call centre up to seven days before departure.

New partners joining the loyalty programme include airlines Continental Airlines, Brussels Airlines and TAM. Two new hotel partners are Missoni Hotels and Wyndham Hotels (from early next year). As part of the relaunch customers will see their membership cards change as new designs and new look membership packs are rolled out.

Five return flights with the airline can earn a free UK domestic flight.

Meanwhile, the airline recently launched its new chauffeur drive and premium check-in area at Heathrow?s Terminal 1 to provide a fast check-in service for Business Class and Premium Economy customers as well as Diamond Club Gold and Silver members.
