Multi Period Living History event set to cover 2,000 years of history.

Arundel Castle in West Sussex will showcase its history since it was founded in 1607 with a Multi Period Living History event, taking place across the August Bank Holiday weekend (August 23-25).

The event showcases figures from over 2,000 years of history, ranging from Roman gladiators to Norman knights to a 1970s Cold War missile tracking vehicle.

With a series of small tented encampments and crafts demonstrations plus a larger arena of combat displays, this event offers an insight into two millennia of history. The event will present clothing, costume, weaponry, crafts, cookery and the lifestyles of bygone eras.

With activities, sights and smells to entertain and excite the whole family, Multi Period Living History at Arundel Castle is the perfect way to spend this August Bank Holiday.

Key displays will include:
Roman gladiators
Norman knights and crusaders
A 14th century knight and his lady
15th century archers
15th century artillery, with the cannons of the Company of St Barbara
18th century pirates and smugglers
