Amilla Maldives presses play on Pause Retreat

The avant-garde luxury resort has confirmed dates for its highly anticipated ‘Pause Retreat’ – the Maldives’ first-ever menopause-focused wellbeing retreat.

The retreat, which is taking place from September 7-18, 2023, will be led by renowned naturopath and wellness coach, Claire O’Sullivan, and each day will be personalised to the specific wellness journey of the guest with the aim of educating and empowering through movement, nutrition and mindful activities.

Each four-day retreat is divided into four daily themes: Balance, Move, Relax and Evolve. The first explores natural ways to boost female hormones and manage symptoms; the next focuses on the practice of intuitive movement to keep the body strong and healthy; the third is about staying grounded and learning to live with less stress; and the final day is all about embracing the next phase of life through empowerment and confidence.

Activities across the four-day retreat include yoga, meditation and Pranayama breath work to minimise symptoms and encourage a consistent sleep pattern. There will also be a selection of health talks, workshops, one-on-one sessions with Claire, massage and reflexology treatments, and five Senora Light Therapy sessions.

Elegant Resorts is currently offering ‘Pause Retreat’ packages at Amilla Maldives Resort and Residence from £4,540 per person, including five-nights accommodation at Lagoon Water Villa, return flights and transfers.
