p>The second National Cruise Week will take place between September 20-27.The week, organised by ACE, is an opportunity for travel agents to promote cruise holidays and increase their cruise sales.
ACE has more than 3,000 travel agency members who are being encouraged to hold an event or run a promotion to highlight the exceptional value provided by a cruise and why a cruise holiday offers something for everyone - families, singles, seniors, first-time cruisers, honeymooners and groups.
The association is supporting agents with event ideas and promotional packs including a poster featuring the winning photograph from Association?s ?Focus on Cruise? competition. ACE member agents can, from Friday, submit details of their events by visiting www.cruiseexperts.org and they are advised to read its e-newsletters for the latest National Cruise Week information.
A record one and a half million Brits took a cruise last year with 83% of people booking through a travel agent. The trend is towards longer cruises with more people choosing to sail from a UK port. Ten new cruises ships will be launched this year, with another 29 on order through to 2012, including ships dedicated to the UK market such as P&O Cruises? Azura, Cunard Line?s Queen Elizabeth and Celebrity Cruises? Celebrity Eclipse, all of which launch in 2010.
