p>AITO Specialist Travel Agents has unveiled the programme for its domestic conference 2015 this weekend (January 10 -11) themed The Power of Thank You - which is taking place at the Drayton Manor Hotel in Staffordshire.

Workshops and numerous announcements, such as the overall national winner of the AITO All Stars incentive scheme 2014, will also take place.

Chairman of AITO Specialist Travel Agents, Gemma Antrobus (Haslemere Travel), says: ?The AITO Agents? annual domestic conference is the largest gathering of members of the independent travel sector in the UK and this year will see our biggest-ever market place to date on Sunday morning ? an opportunity for each agent and each operator present to do business.

?At the peak holiday booking time of year, our members join together for a weekend full of inspiration, learning and exchange of ideas, and leave charged up, excited and enthusiastic for a busy forthcoming year.

?Sales of All Stars Operators? products (36 AITO operators in total) were up just over 13.8% in 2014 equating to a record ?53.6M, which proves that once again consumer confidence in the independent travel sector has in no way lessened. I believe that we have a sensational 12 months ahead of us in the independent arena of the travel industry.?

AITO Agents? domestic conference 2015 programme:

Workshops:

There will be two optional, pre-bookable workshops on Saturday afternoon, running alongside each other, solely for AITO travel agents:

Workshop One: ?Being Assertive - How to Close the Sale Effectively? with Tracy Leonard
Tracy has a background in marketing, sales, sales management, customer service and, for the last 16 years, in learning and development. She has designed and facilitated learning interventions for many clients within the travel industry, several of whom are members of AITO.

Workshop Two: ?Social Media - A practical session on how to Tweet and Facebook? with Sarah Archer
Sarah is enthusiastic about social media, and was recently voted one of the Top 25 Travel Tweeters by TTG. This is for agents who want to make social media work for them, who already have company Facebook and Twitter accounts, to get them actually ?doing it? rather than ?talking about it?.

On Sunday morning, the theme of the business sessions will be ?The Power of Thank you? ? there will be discussions on key industry issues, the AITO Agents? Chairman?s report and an AITO update.

Announcements:

During the conference?s All Stars Awards Dinner - sponsored by the AITO operator, Anatolian Sky Holidays - an array of award wins will be revealed, including the overall national and regional winners of the AITO All Stars incentive scheme 2014, which recognises those AITO Agents who have achieved the best results when selling holidays offered by AITO Operators participating in the scheme. Other awards will include ?best newcomer? and ?most improved AITO Agent?, as well as the ?AITO Shining Star?, for the individual who has shown significant commitment to supporting AITO over the past 12 months.

The winners will receive prizes courtesy of AITO All Stars operators, including fam trip places to Malta with Kirker Holidays and Marrakech with Beachcomber Tours, champagne, theatre tickets and more.
