Aer Lingus resume direct flights to Miami

Aer Lingus is set to restart direct flights to Miami from October 21, 2022, for the first time in two and half years.

The route will operate three times a week, with fares starting at £219 each way, as part of the airline’s winter schedule.

UK customers can make use of the service by connecting via Dublin from eight UK airports: London Gatwick, Manchester, Birmingham, Edinburgh, Glasgow, Bristol, and Leeds Bradford. On the company’s inaugural service to Miami, almost 1 in 4 passengers began their journey outside of Ireland.

Customers flying via the Dublin hub have the option of US Immigration Pre-clearance before departure, which allows them to arrive in the US like a domestic passenger.

Aer Lingus chief customer officer, Susanne Carberry, said, “As the only carrier to operate direct flights to Miami from Ireland, we also cater to the UK and European markets given the seamless connections we offer travellers transiting via Dublin.

“Restarting our Miami service is further proof of our ambition to continue to grow our North American network.”
