Sarasota County is a beautiful subtropical destination and cultural hot spot located on Florida’s Gulf Coast, 50 miles south of Tampa. Visitors can explore Sarasota’s 35 miles of white-sand beaches, one of Florida’s oldest and largest State Parks; Myakka River and a dynamic mix of theatre, dance and art events in downtown Sarasota.

As well as art, bespoke jewellery and ceramic stalls to explore, there is live music and a delicious selection of street foods to taste.

Siesta Key Sand Sculpting Competition - Celebrating its 42nd birthday in 2014, the world famous Siesta Key Sand Sculpture Contest is once again hitting the Gulf Coast in May 2014. The Siesta Sand Sculpture Contest is a free contest for both professionals and public participation so the entire family can pick up their bucket and spades and get involved.

The Savour Sarasota Restaurant Week - The 14-day dining event showcases the award winning restaurants and chefs in Sarasota, all of which have helped the city earn the distinction of having the highest concentration of Zagat-rated restaurants in Florida.
