UK visitation reached 88% of pre-pandemic levels in 2024 as Orlando geared up for what Trip.com has described 'THE year for theme parks'
Despite many Brits reportedly holding off on visiting the theme park capital of the world before the opening of Epic Universe later this week, the third gate at Universal Orlando Resort, UK visitation was nonetheless up 3.5%, surpassing 900,000 (907,900).
Casandra Matej, Visit Orlando's president & CEO, celebrated the "strong rebound in UK visitation, now reaching 88% of pre-pandemic levels.
"With strong air connectivity and a deep affinity for our destination, UK travellers are drawn to our world-famous attractions and diverse experiences. We continue to actively invest in the market through strategic marketing, PR and travel trade initiatives to help travellers discover all that Orlando has to offer."
In October, Delta took flight on its only direct service from Florida to the UK; to celebrate, Experience Kissimee hosted several agents in-destination at the turn of the year.
