‘Ireland Unrushed’ aims to encourage visitors to enjoy their exploration of the Emerald Isle and lean into quieter adventures than can be had with slow tourism
Research has found that 80% of overseas visitors who are looking for a non-sun getaway are looking for a holiday filled with exploration, and the new campaign highlights just that, showcasing the experiences that can be had in nature and within local communities.
The campaign features a series of videos highlighting Ireland’s rolling landscapes and the joy that can be had within the scenery. With the tag line ‘You may find, when you slow down, you feel more’, the campaign draws visitors into the benefits of slow tourism and taking the time to connect with the land.
Running throughout June, the campaign is live across video platforms and social channels in the UK, the US, Canada, Germany, France, Spain, Italy and the Netherlands, with an estimated reach of 70 million people.
Alice Mansergh, chief executive of Tourism Ireland, said, “We are excited to launch ‘Ireland Unrushed’ to inspire visitors to choose Ireland this year for their travel. Our new ‘Ireland Unrushed’ campaign positions Ireland as the perfect place to slow down, connect more deeply with people and landscapes and refresh. When visitors choose Ireland, dwell for longer and explore more, the economic and community benefits of tourism across the island are increased.”
