Emirates' Far Eastern expansion sees debut of two new routes

The airline’s East Asian footprint has been expanded with the addition of new routes via Bangkok to Da Nang and Siem Reap, marking a significant milestone in Emirate’s broader connectivity strategy

The inaugural flight to the Vietnamese city took to the skies on June 2nd, 2025, with the new Cambodia service following on June 3rd.

Da Nang becomes Emirates’ third gateway in Vietnam, joining Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City. With 25 weekly flights, the airline’s operations to Vietnam are supported by strong partnerships including those with Vietnam Airlines and Sun Group, boosting air connectivity across Southeast Asia.

The new Dubai to Siem Reap route will operate thrice weekly and compliments Emirates’ existing daily service to Phnom Penh via Singapore. The additional service will expand the airline’s presence in Cambodia to 10 weekly flights.

According to Emirates’ executive vice president of passenger sales and country management, Nabil Sultan, the launch of the new routes “reinforces [Emirates’] long-standing commitment to Thailand as a strategic getaway to the region” giving passengers to chance to “experience seamless connectivity across three distinct destinations – Dubai, Bangkok and either Da Nang or Siem Reap – with a single ticket.”
