Big Bus Tours looks to travel trade to boost London sales

Big Bus Tours is promoting its new training course with Online Travel Training (OTT) at this weeks WTM.

The course, which will offer product knowledge and tools to sell the company's London product, is set to go live in mid-November, and the company is showcasing the course at its stand UKI301.

With the growth of domestic tourism, and the increase in visitors to London, travel agents have become an increasingly important distribution channel for the company, which offers a strong commission structure for agents, who can take levels of 20%-plus, depending on the amount of business generated. With a family ticket costing ?60 (upwards), there are lucrative incentives for trade partners. The OTT course will help agents find the best way to realise this revenue and give them a host of tools and actions to make the sales process easier and more seamless.

Bernice Windley, the company's sales and marketing manager, said: ?We are thrilled to be launching this new training course. The trade are fast catching on to the importance of domestic tourism sales, and London is undoubtedly one of the biggest domestic tourism draws. We know there is no better way to see and learn about London than from the top of one of our busses and this course will help the trade understand this too.?
